I’m always on the hunt for new angles to profit from and this thought keeps coming into my head.
What are peoples thoughts on tipping services? Too risky or good in the long term? I’m very tempted to start in January.
December 14, 2019 at 7:09 pm #16204StephenModeratorI’ve done this in the past with mixed success. I would HIGHLY recommend doing proper hardcore research before taking the plunge.
When I used to follow tipsters (paid for ones), I used to keep records of their selections against the BFSP and then that would tell me whether to stick with them or not. If someone is profitable at the BFSP they’re going to be far more profitable in the morning plus they’re obviously pretty good. If they’re profitable in the morning but lose their edge at BFSP then your days are numbered because you’re going to lose accounts anyway. Obviously you have to pay for their service to get the tips and then compare them with the BFSP so this isn’t a guide before buying but if you do..
December 16, 2019 at 10:41 am #16260Profile 42ModeratorHi Stephen, thanks for that tip. I never considered researching tips against the Betfair SP. Very interesting tactic, is it one you use often?
December 16, 2019 at 5:20 pm #16291StephenModeratorYes mate. Anything that’s profitable at the BFSP long-term is obviously a very good angle, so it’s worth doing.
December 17, 2019 at 12:51 pm #16329dale smithSpectatorgoogle racing post naps table. back top 5 tipsters selections to win and you can lay bottom 5 selections on exchanges to lose… and its free
December 18, 2019 at 12:37 am #16350RoxMemberDoes that mean the top 5 tipsters always win and bottom ones lose including commission is profitable?
December 18, 2019 at 6:25 am #16357BunnyMemberHello,
Personally i would only look for tennis tips. Its either player A or B, simples.
I would recommend Dan Weston’s Model Prices. They are in his “Daily Sheets”. It is expensive stuff though, 375 for a year subscription. However it has been prooven profitable over many years. Definetely worth investing some big money, i mean big money into it. Im not anywhere near it (yet), so the plan is get this Xmas over it 🙂 and starr saving for Caan’s video pack 🙂

December 20, 2019 at 10:39 am #16489BunnyMemberHello,
Rox i havent bet on tennis. I dont bet in general. I realized i need a value, reason to bet, or trade, otherwise i ll be average bunny the punter – migth as well just write check to bet365 or ladbrokes – and i dont want to do that.
All im doing at min is matched betting, in small doses, and intensively looking around for some ways to increase profit. Im paper trading/bet late goals and football matches in elite european leagues. Results are encouraging, but i ll give it another few months and see what the craic is.
I love tennis, watch and play. That’s why i want to get involved in tennis markets too. Dan’s uploading preformance sheet every now and again, and it looks really impressive.
Im sure there are many websites offering tipsters services, but you want consistent results.
I guess for all of us, sooner or later , Matched betting just will not be enough anymore.

January 28, 2020 at 6:53 pm #18418BunnyMemberI have found some website called Betfame. They have a list of ‘premium tipsters’. To be on it, they need to produce over 80 % strike rate.
And They do, 80% strike rate, way over thousand bets, average odds between 2-3.
Sounds unreal !?
Them top tipsters post a pick, or two a day…. and they charge for every single tip…. anything from 100$ – $1000 !!!
I havent seen anything like it before.
I dont have 600$ to pay for one pick lol
Maybe We should all chip in, that means everyone would get that tip for 20-30 quid.
Anyone seen this before ? It just looks to good to be true.

January 29, 2020 at 4:19 pm #18482jay321MemberVery easy to manipulate figures, you dont know what % won above 2.0. You know the average. They can quite easily give a chunk of 1.01 bets and a handful of 1000 bets and legally make the above claim.
I’ll give selections to you daily for £300 if you want 😉
January 29, 2020 at 8:41 pm #18495BunnyMemberEvery tipster has a result page with all bets. Compeletely legitimate. More than your dodgy tips for 300 😀

January 29, 2020 at 11:10 pm #18502jay321MemberPut x number of tipsters in a room.
After x days, x will be up, x will be down.
Advertise those results. Sorted by most successful at top.
Charge people $100-1000 per future tip.
Same con since gambling began.
Even if some of the tips win you’ve lost value to the fees.
Value is everything.
January 30, 2020 at 7:15 am #18508BunnyMemberAhhh Value, value, value…
You kind a get sick and tired reading that word 😀
What is value ? Isnt it just an opinion at the end of the day ?
Probably need hundreds, or even more bets to verify if opinion was true.
Well, if you hitting spot rigth away, you get blocked by bookies, just like Caan mentioned in some other post.
Sort of indication you are on rigth track.
Just saying it doesnt look like some mickey mouse site, built on lunch break. All results well recorded, take one tipster for example. 3346 bets, average odds 2.20, strike rate 70.03 %, no history of odds <1.5 .
Con ? I dont think so
Strike of randomness ? I dont think so neither
Lossing value due to paying for tips ?
I agree, paying alone 1000$ to have a shot at evens doesnt seems like wise thing to do. However, if stakes are in thousands it does make sense then. Get your 10 friends and split cost between its even better solution.
