    Hi,

    I’ve closed my account with another company and decided to use Profit Rush.  Generally, I would just find my own matches, especially when looking for horses as the price match tools don’t tend to keep up quick enough.  However, with some time before the races really kick off, I thought I would use the Price Matcher tool.

    I’ve input the criteria I need but the ratings don’t seem to look accurate to me.  I’m getting results of 97% and 99% etc but when I put the figures through the calculator, I’m at a qualifying loss of over £1 on a £10 bet.  Back odds of 2.25 and lay odds of 2.7, even with no commission charges, is given me a loss of £1.66 yet the rating implies it is a very good match at 97.55%.

    Not sure if I’m somehow not using the tool properly but the other company I was using would have this rated hugely lower as anything beyond a 50p loss on a £10 bet would be considered bad. From a users point of view (and assuming I’m not doing anything wrong), it just looks like the criteria for determining the rating may be off.

    Anyone else having issues with this?  Am I doing something wrong?  I’ve been matched betting for almost 2yrs so have experience of looking for matches using a price match tool, just not so much experience using it on this site.

    Getting a bit of a mixed result now.

    97.82% rating is giving me a 69p qualifying loss

    The Bodo Glimt v Valerenga Match odds market is stating 98% rating yet it’s giving me a £2.14 qualifying loss

    Hi Steve,

    It is:

    – a rating for all matches in order of quality.

    It’s not:

    – SNR rating
    – A % rating
    – Some other service

    The best matches have a higher rating, the worst ones have a lower rating. How the rating is calculated doesn’t change the order of the matches, for example it could have been done on a scale of 1-10. 1 would still have been the lowest and 10 would have been the highest.

    We are going to look at adding a SNR column in the future, you may prefer the layout then.

    I’m sorry, I’m being extremely stupid I think. You have mentioned that it is a rating for all matches in order of quality.  Please could you explain what the quality refers to?  I think I have assumed that the quality rating for matched betting price match results would be the level of qualifying loss incurred.

    I’ve just found and watched the tutorial video and it explains how the rating is a reflection of the back/lay odds match.  In the video, it shows back odds and lay odds that are very closely matched and the rating is high to reflect this.  This doesn’t seem to be the case when I use the tool though as odds that are very far apart and very costly as a qualifying loss are still given a high rating.

    I’m not sure I’m particularly bothered by there not being an SNR column.

    If the odds are very far apart then the rating will obviously not be high; this is basic matched betting. You are using the tool incorrectly; please watch the videos and read the blogs before using the tool again.
