Hey,
We’ve kicked off this thread for anything that’s not particularly pertinent elsewhere on the forum. Feel free to share your daily MB experiences here! Good or bad.

July 26, 2019 at 10:52 am #5093grant9MemberGoodwood usually has some good offers next week. The big books do a bet and if your bet loses you get another £5 on the next race. All adds up!

August 20, 2019 at 4:57 pm #8876AndiaMemberHi all
I’ve been working my way through nearly all the sign up – bet x to get y – offers and firstly thanks for providing a fantastic product that is free to use – I really appreciate it as I am a complete newbie to betting of any type. I have made some good money to keep me ticking over for a couple of weeks in life lol. I have tried to keep my Betfair exchange account in as much credit as possible. I am about to start using Betdaq as I do have an account with them now as well.
Anyway I am struggling a bit now and wondered if others similar to me are feeling the same. Some terms are so alien to me – accumulator etc. I need to start doing the other offers but I am nervous and confused. I do have Caan’s book and would have read it but for focusing 100% on this and getting every waking moment on my laptop (apart from dog walking and eating – sleep is when I nod off with laptop lol). My main business as a counsellor is basically on hold while I focus on this so feeling a bit guilty! I have watched tutorials but still a lot to take in. I need to understand some of the terminology which is all strange to me. I found it scary and frustrating working around the sites but now I am seeing money coming in I am a lot more relaxed.
Right so there are a few of the offers I am stuck on – Novibet, Mustard Bet, Mr Green and I need to start on the others. So any help or thoughts would be gratefully appreciated. I don’t understand the liquidity, the percentages at the top (80 and 100), and whether the column of win, matched, etc should be changed or just left as the 2 I have mentioned ????
Are there any sites or books that will just explain all these queries I have or anyone suggest any help?
Regards Diane
August 20, 2019 at 6:01 pm #8878CaanModeratorHi Andia,
Good to hear you’re making some progress. Matched Betting is very simplistic in application when compared to other types of betting as you mention, try not to jump in the deep end straight away!
In terms of things like Accumulators, I wouldn’t worry too much and stick to getting the earlier stages right first – such as bet X and get Y like you say. I believe some of the brands you mentioned there are on the more complicated offers… it’s likely that you’ll find them easier to understand once you have ticked off the other offers in the earlier sections.
With regards to the liquidity and ratings:
Liquidity is the amount of money on the exchange, at a specific price. For example, if there is £20 under the 4.3 price there is “£20 liquidity at 4.3”. Ratings are just a score the matcher implements so you can grade the quality of a match against others in the matcher.
The column with WIN is the market type. It’s worth checking back at the price matcher video under the using Profit Rush heading. Depending on the sport they vary – for example, in horse racing you have Win markets, whereas in football you have Match Odds markets… obviously, there are no Match Odds or Correct Scores in horse racing 😉
Cheers,
CaanAugust 20, 2019 at 9:18 pm #8881AndiaMemberHi Caan
Thank you so much for replying so fast. Yes I am jumping in too fast as usual but I have virtually finished all the x y offers on the site. I could google other bookmakers to see what sign up offers as I’ve read there are hundreds of bookies so maybe there will be some others. Other than that I am guessing I will have to start on the harder ones??
I have 3 bets on matches tonight so might give the betting a rest and watch all the tutorials again, read some kindle books I’ve bought on match betting and the your book (although I could get ahead of myself as I expect it’s way beyond my capabilities right now).
Again thank you for the reply and the amazing product, I see so many out there on YouTube pushing their paid sign up offers promising the world and riches and for you to offer this free, and support is a refreshing change. The world would be a better place if everyone who had success helps someone else om their journey. (My reason for retraining as a psychotherapist ) Anyway back to the studying – this is the first time I feel confident in something that will keep a roof over my children’s and my heads.
Regards Diane
August 20, 2019 at 9:55 pm #8882grant9Memberhi diane you should do the risk free offers and 2UPs next they are easy too.
August 20, 2019 at 11:24 pm #8885RoxMemberHello Diane, the money back risk free offers are just as easy like grant says. Do them next as they are easier pickings and look at the calendar you sometimes see good bonuses for the weekends when you have got accounts ready.
What kind of counselling do you do not gambling problems is it haha. Just joking it’s good to see another woman on here!
August 21, 2019 at 1:32 am #8887AndiaMemberHi Rox and Grant
Thanks for the support and advice. I was just getting comfortable and thinking I had my financial worries sorted when I realised the offers were running out. I’m wondering what the longevity of this is – is it something we can do for the long term? I’m interested in getting into the Betfair trading eventually and have been looking for something like this I can do wherever I am living as I am planning on travelling – living in a van or boat when my kids have left home – next 12 – 18 months. Me and my dog lol.
Rox – yes I do specialise in addiction therapy – I trained as a psychotherapist following a serious life experience to help others who have gone through what I did. I am completely new to betting – except the odd national although I’m going off tha
t – I have 2 horses myself and I lost another 2 years ago who was an ex racehorse – animals and the sun are my priority now after 17 years bringing the kids up alone. I was looking for a way of earning additional money online and feel this is the first one I’ve come up with where you can put the effort in and get money out – tax free is a bonus 😉
So yes I will have a look at those other offers now and great to meet you on here (are we the only women Rox?)
Regards Diane
August 23, 2019 at 8:28 pm #9758L0UMemberHi Andia,
Have you explored ‘bet clubs’ yet if you’re running out of signup offers? I’m doing a Paddy Power one where you bet 5 * £10 for a free £10 bet each week, plus a ‘power up’. It’s not as lucrative as signup offers, but I think other bookmakers offer these. Get enough together, it might help with extra income?
Regards,
Lou (another lady on the forum!) 🙂
August 24, 2019 at 1:20 am #9787AndiaMemberHi Lou
Thanks for the welcome! Yes I have seen the bet clubs – I saw Paddy yesterday and also there is sky. My question is do we place the 4 x £10 or 5 x £5 as qualifiers in the calculator (normal) mode then only place the 1 a week in the other mode? Doesn’t seem much profit or am I missing something lol?
Also anyone able to explain when using the matchfinder on Betfair (as I have been doing) at the end of each offer row there is the button you click to move onto the calculator. But when I change the exchange to Betdaq or Smarkets there is a figure but no button to take me to the calculator on any of the rows? Any help anyone???
Had a crazy day today so not much done work wise but as I have completed most of the x y offers I am going to dedicate some time to reading and watching videos in order to progress.
Thanks again for your support, it’s good to know there are others out there doing the same and willing to help. Regards Diane (Andia) 😉
