Hi guys !

Do you think tipsters have a hidden agenda or do they really believe their tips are profitable ?

        Morning Aine,

The best way I can put it is its not uncommon to find out that these so called tipsters copy other peoples tips and also receive a percentage of the total bets staked through certain websites using an affiliate scheme.

To the tipster it doessnt really matter if the tip wins or loses as they still get paid by the bookie regardless.

Steer clear of these tipsters that share links to a pre-filled betslip sa they are the ones who are getting paid by the bookie.

This is incorrect Bazza. Affiliate programmes payout a percentage based on profit from the customer, so it is in the interest of the “tipster” to provide losing tips in order to earn revenue from the affiliate programme.

The only way they can get paid by the bookie regardless of the result of the tip is if they were to negotiate a CPA payment scheme. This usually requires a very high turnover of referrals though.

Like everything in life and people in general some can be trusted. However when it comes to money very few can be trusted.

Paid for: I trust Wayne Bailey and Andrew David only, Waynes tips ‘lay’ and his track record and strike rate is incredible you will never see a single boast or a BOOM (makes my skin crawl every time) from Wayne, and you will never see a come and join style advert. I would highly recommend Wayne he is not cheap though. Andrew David is well known in betting circles as the man who beats the bookies, he again does not really advertise and will never send out those dreadful social media boasts. Again Andrew is not cheap but his Little Acorns Gold is golden.

Free tipsters: Read the Naps table in the Racing post, and if you can read Richard Bird in Football and Racing Outlook.

For Golf and free there is non better than Jeremy Chapman

As I said none of those promote themselves or do any of the vile tipster style ‘ you can’t lose!!’ advertising. Also what I really like about them is they encourage you to do your own research and not just follow blindly.

Wayne gives around three free selections a day on his site but again it’s one of those sites never advertised and probably will not show in a Google search.

            Good luck

Trust is subjective, which is why I have to ask – why do you trust Wayne Bailey? His strike rate isn’t great and the ROI is awful. Also the figures quoted don’t match the “proofing” service.

Andrew David I have heard of and he is hit and miss with me personally – most of his services are poor with the exception of LA. He is not well known in betting circles – he is an extra income marketing “guru” constantly churning out products

You said something, which to me is a bit of a red flag

“Also what I really like about them is they encourage you to do your own research and not just follow blindly. “

The point of a tipping service is that you follow the tips without having to do your own research. Sounds like a get out of jail free card for the service. The USP of LA Gold was so that you don’t have to do your own research to find selections as per the original LA service.

” you will never see a single boast or a BOOM (makes my skin crawl every time)”

Agree – I also find BOOM posts irritating. The reason you don’t see them posting these though is that they aren’t publicly active on social media anymore.

You make some excellent points of which I disagree totally and there it is the jeopardy and QED when it comes to tipsters isn’t it? Which is the conundrum the OP finds themselves in.

OP asked about tipsters and for the most part I don’t trust them especially the paid ones which do as you say provide tips.

I must speak up again though for Wayne’s tips he regularly hits 10% ROI yearly that’s more than Warren Buffet ever manages! Ha ha
