Hi, i’m A complete newbie and have completed sign ups and am looking to hopefully continue to make small profits daily by back to lay bets or trading (trading preferably )I’ve spent around 370 hours so far reading and looking through examples. I’m trying really hard to feel my way through things but wondered if anyone could please help and give me super simple instructions or examples to make a small profit each time trading (horse racing) preferably before race. Many thanks Lynn

Trading correctly and profitably, consistently every day, takes a huge amount of skill and training. It just doesn’t happen over night. It’s something you have to work on – usually people say Trading takes 1,000 hours to become knowledgable and then after that you have a good chance.
There are courses, book and online guides you can buy to speed up the process but it basically comes down to taking the time and effort to gain the knowledge needed.

Yes i’m trying hard to read and understand as much as I can, and am most interested in trading as I am , by nature, a very careful person.
Its just one of those situations, when I think i’ve Finally got it through trading or any of the other strategies..then it inexplicably goes against me…and that’s what’s frustrating me the most.
I was going to purchase Caan’s book on Betfair Trading but wanted to know, if for instance you HAVE to use software…or if you can manage to make small profits trading just solely using Betfair.
At the moment, i’m basically just trying too get a feel of the market for each race, and then place a back bet when the odds are high and cash out when they have dropped a few ticks to make around 50p to £1 each race. This would suit me down to the ground…but unfortunately i’ve Had a couple of losses and that’s dented my confidence.

Being able to see the volumes and having one click software is an obvious advantage over the standard desktop site. But if you don’t understand how to use the software, using the desktop site or using practice mode is the way forward until you’re more confident. Everyone has to start somewhere.
