How to lock in a profit if the team we back scores first? At that point we don’t know if our team will end up losing the game or not. The payout only happens if our team ends up losing the game and been the first team to score. How to lock in the profit? This offer is on the calendar for the 4th of December and applies to the game Man Utd v Tottenham

You can trade out on the exchanges when your team scores first and lock in a profit.
So let’s say for example Manchester United score first tonight and Betway pay out £20 at 7/4 which is a profit of £35.
You have laid Manchester United for around £20 on Betfair with an exposure of around £35. The Manchester United price moves to 1.85 after a goal is scored. You can use the calculator to get your stake or you can even use the Betfair cashout feature yourself but make sure figures are correct. You go “all red” on Betfair for less than your £35 liability, in this case it will be around £10 to £13. Then you’ll lose that on Betfair but win £35 on Betway, resulting in profit locked in!
