I have noticed on the calendar from time to time betfred do bet £30 get £10 on greyhounds. Is liquidity good enough for matched betting? the markets look empty on betfair !

I personally wouldn’t do the greyhounds as the markets on Betfair don’t ‘come alive’ until about a minute before the race starts.  Too fast for me…

How much gets turned over in the minute LOU? Decent money or very little?

            Hey Aine, L0U, Stephen…

I’d re-iterate the initial thoughts, but maybe with a twist. It’s not really for beginners though.

The greyhound’s markets come alive inside the last 3 minutes typically. However, as L0U says, the majority of the liquidity is in the last 1-2 minutes. This is a problem if you’re not advanced, and don’t have 3rd party software.

However, if you have software like geeks toy and some free bets (like the offer mentioned) then matched betting on greyhounds is possible!

You just have to be quick. Preferable with a bookmaker on one screen and software on another. Make your calculations using the calculator and then a swift click, click on bookie and exchange via the software…

But like I say, not really something I’d advise unless you’re happy with software use and feel comfortable.

I don’t know how many free bet offers there are usually on the Greyhounds although I’d assume it’s infrequent? They used to do them on a Tuesday with the Racing Post TV. I remember because its all they used to bang on about on the channel!

            Cheers,
            Caan
