I’m reading Barney Curleys Sure thing Betting Book at the moment and I must say it’s a brilliant read. I can’t put it down, only to get a few bets in place.

I couldn’t recommend the book any more. Give it a go over the Christmas period.

Good story, Barney Curley’s one hell of a character. That alone probably makes it worth the read…

Yellow Sam was massive at the time it all happened. One for the betting history books, no question. I also remember trading Betfair when he was more active as a trainer. If the price moved even a little the whole market would sneeze and go into meltdown! Rife for people spoofing. Panic was everywhere.

Another book worth a read if you like horse racing is Patrick Vitech enemy number one. Great to get into the psyche of professionals, reading between the lines can help you find a little extra gold!

Would love to have been a friend of Barney Curley as I’m sure that, when he said something was a Sure thing, it certainly would have been!!
