First of all, thank you for this free platform! And thanks Caan for the related youtube content which got me started into match betting just a month ago (something I had overlooked for years).  I would like to leave my contribution to the project in the form of a few suggestions, which are obviously opinionated but I believe other people might agree with me.

PS: I’ve only tested the website using Chrome.

    Profit Tracer

Current: When adding a new entry, clicking outside the modal window (by mistake or whatever) will close it and the data that was already put in will not be saved.

Improvement: Either the data is saved when the modal is closed regardless of how it’s closed or the modal isn’t closed by clicking outside of it. I personally prefer the second option given that there are two clear options to effectively close the modal: the ‘X’ icon and Save button, both with distinct yet intuitive outcomes (clearing vs saving).

Current: After changing the sorting criteria it’s not possible to change it back to the default (without refreshing the page). The “order” option on the drop-down is not clickable.

Improvement: There should be a way to reset the sorting to the default criteria (Order / Date). Also, it might be more intuitive to have the default sorting to “Date” (instead of Order) as it’s more in line with what actually happens when you add bets with a past date.

Current: If I want to record a bet on a bookmaker that is not on the list I have to use the description field and put a blank bookmaker to work around it. Gets the job done but it’s far from ideal.

Improvement: Fact of the matter is that we don’t need a logo on the bookmaker or exchange columns, it’s a nice to have but at the moment I think it’s doing more harm than good (especially for you). I think those columns could be text-based, not only it would make it easier for the user to add a custom bookmaker/Exchange on the appropriate columns it would also be easier for you to manage.

Improvement: Adding to the point above, it would also be incredibly useful to have the Bookmaker / Exchange columns as clickable hyperlinks to open on a new tab, this could be the link to a homepage or to the actual market where the bets were placed. At least for me, it would make things a lot more efficient. Note, if the customer specifies a custom bookmaker then he should also be able to specify the link associated with it.

Current: If I want to record more specific data (odds, stakes..) about my bets I have to use the “Description” column as it’s completely generic. It certainly gets the job but it’s not great to mix different data on a single column, my profit tracer list looks a bit messy and inconsistent.

Improvement: I’d start by compressing Sport and Description into a single column. Sport is occupying way too much space for what it’s worth (not much for me). In my opinion, an icon with a tooltip is more than enough for the sport and could be put within the same column as a description. I’d rename the description to “Event” to make it clear what we should be putting in there.

Improvement: Adding to the point above, now with the extra space we’ve got from compressing Sport/Description I’d create a new column to record the actual Back/Lay combination and put it next to the result column. The reason for this is that it would really help to get familiar with the back/lay odds’ spread and corresponding result. We’d eventually become less dependent on the calculator and quicker executing. Sometimes the price matcher doesn’t do the job (suggestions coming soon) and I find myself spending a lot of time on the calculator trying back/lay combinations as I see them on the bookmakers to find good value, this is a bit time consuming and the more we are familiar with what we’ve done previously the less we need the calculator.

I’m sorry about the huge text, I hope this helps somehow – I appreciate this is a free tool and I’m not making any demand, just giving ideas to improve the product even further.
