The offers for the Cheltenham Festival just keep coming!
SkyBet is offering Money Back up to £10 if your horse loses in the Supreme Novice Hurdle to kick off the Cheltenham Festival!
This is a superb offer. You could make a potential profit of £9.36.
Key Terms;
- Max refund is £10
- Applies to first bet on the Supreme Novice Hurdle
- If there are less than five runners, SkyBet may cancel the promotion
- Applies to day-of-race market, so you need to wait for that to be live on the exchanges.
Let’s look at how to play this offer…
Step 1 – Place our qualifying bet:
This is a very simple offer. We can back any horse to win and get our money back if it loses. You can find the best match to get the lowest set-up cost using the Profit Rush Price Matcher. However, as this offer is just with SkyBet on one race, you can do it manually too. Just use the Profit Rush Bet Calculator before placing any bets to make sure the set-up cost is low.
The easiest way to understand the offer fully is for us to give you an example. Let’s assume Chantry House is trading 8.0 with SkyBet and is 8.4 to lay on Betfair. Note that the closer we get to Cheltenham the tighter the markets will be. So it’s a good idea to do this offer on Monday night or Tuesday morning before the race.
Chantry House is our target match. So for step 1, we place a £10 win bet on Chantry House at 8.0 with SkyBet.
Step 2 – Lay off on the exchanges:
After placing our qualifying bet, we’re going to lay off our bet with SkyBet on the exchanges. Chantry House is trading 8.4 with Betfair, so we’re going to lay the horse there. We put this information into the Profit Rush Bet Calculator and we should get this screen:
As you can see, we have to lay Chantry House for £9.55 on Betfair, meaning we have a set-up cost of -£0.67. However, let’s look at our possible outcomes:
Outcome | Bookmaker | Exchange | Profit & Loss |
If Chantry House Wins | £70 | -£70.67 | -£0.67 |
If Chantry House Loses | Cashback | £9.36 | £9.36 |
As we said, this is an incredible offer. All you need is a good match and you can kick off the Cheltenham Festival with some nice potential profit!
There is another option too that allows you to lock in profit before the race. Use the Profit Rush Bet Calculator in Risk Free Bet mode as the Bet Type. You should get this screen:
As you can see, this locks in a profit of £8.18.
From the two options above, you can pick which you prefer. You have the steps above, it’s just up to you what stakes you go with depending on which way you’d like to play the offer. Whatever happens, what a way to start the Festival!

Thanks, another well set out guide.
For me its surely Option 2 as there’s guaranteed profit? Also there’s the more traditional option of just picking the horse and hoping it wins as the worst that could happen is a refund which is better than Option 1.
